Beautiful Badassery

IMG_20140109_1505239162.4 miles miles walked yesterday with a few stops to rest along the way. The first half of that distance was to get to Westin Lake (above). The sense of accomplishment was nearly as beautiful as the scenery — and it entirely voided any shame associated with needing to take breaks (any time I begin to lose sensation from the waist-down or get too much bad sensation in my back).

I am proud to have done this and view not with chagrin my fatigue today. My “baseline” is getting lower and I’m learning to expect less from myself — but a new, higher dose of amantadine has become a reliant friend against now-daily fatigue. I stepped on a scale yesterday and had lost ten pounds. Then I walked like a champ.

Baseline aside, I feel like a total badass.
